At FWPMUN individual awards are centered around a delegates ability to represent their
nation or historical figure in an exemplary fashion by excelling in a variety of areas. Students may do so by
accurately drawing on their country or person's current policy, demonstrating prowess in debate, and
working constructively with their peers to create impactful legislation. Delegates chances for
awards will be discounted for negative behavior including: backstabbing, the interruption of
debate, or the degradation of another delegate/nation to further one's personal agenda. In order to
be eligible for any awards, delegates must submit a position paper to their chairs by the date of
the conference.
The awards to be given to delegates in each committee, in ascending order are: Honorable
Mention, Outstanding Delegate, Best Delegate.
Delegation Awards will be awarded by weighting the awards won by individual delegates and
creating composite scores, representing the overall accomplishments of any given delegation at
the conference. In addition, the qualitative factors of overall preparedness, effort, knowledge,
and respect will be taken into account.
The awards to be given to schools are: Best Large Delegation (21 students or greater) and Best
Small Delegation (20 students or fewer).
